Benno Mautner Passes

Benno Mautner passed away on 23 June 2016. He got started in the barter industry as an Austria franchisee of BCI-Barter Clearing & Information in 1986. Then in 1990 he founded EBB-Euro Barter Business in Austria, and consequently set up EBB in 14 countries within Europe.
 
In 1992 Benno Mautner, Gerd W. Husemann and Reiner Husemann founded EBB-Euro Barter Business International Ing. Mautner & Husemann GmbH. With EBB International they founded the first international clearinghouse in 1992, using the first online system and other techniques.

Benno was a visionary that has always been ahead of the barter industry. He died at 66 years of age, and was engaged in the barter business until his last breath.
